The Bluffs at Honey Creek Ranch

When you look at the cliffs overlooking the Llano River at Honey Creek Ranch, it is a hard to imagine that they were once underwater, eons ago, and formed part of the North American coastline and offshore reefs during the early Paleozoic/Upper Cambrian period. Many Universities across Texas enjoy bringing undergraduates, graduates and faculty to Honey Creek to study the cliffs and surrounding formations for all the geologic history they have to offer.
